The upper levels had been cleared except for a few bots. I tossed in a few more explosives and ran towards the exit. When I reached, I found Sergei had sealed the door behind him, nothing a bomb couldn’t fix. The whole bunker shook as the doors blew open, we didn’t wait for the smoke to clear and ran through the tunnel to the blast doors on the outside. They had turned down the power, but my Omnilamp illuminated the path, I could sense Husky got a taste for blood while he ran beside me, that’s my boy. I fired my lasers at full power to cut a hole through the titanium plated blast doors and walked out.
Suddenly, a blood curdling scream reached my ears accompanied by sounds of explosion, followed by more screams and spattering sounds. I gathered the car had reacted to someone’s unwanted efforts. I ran outside, there was complete chaos. Sergei knew he had been bested by me, most probably too shocked to gauge his failure. I heard angry shouts coming in my direction.
