It had been a few days since we discovered the new species and I was too busy with the developments. The giant slugs have been given a home to the South of our Dome, temporary of course. We call it a containment unit, a marvel developed by Brokka. The whole unit served two purposes, 1. To contain the slugs, and 2. To not make them feel arrested. The second option one was not entirely possible because even without eyes, they could sense a boundary. I can feel entering a new era on this planet. Nothing would ever be the same, we are at the dawn of a new beginning.
I feel a bit of excitement whenever I think about it. The discovery of these slugs extended a new range of possibilities. Our biologists have been at loggerheads for over two days now. Apparently, the slugs eat almost everything. One of them gorged down a small block of cement in a few minutes but their metabolism is slow.
