Continued from before…
It took me and Abhay around two more years to complete our respective projects. It would have taken lesser amount of time if China hadn’t approached Abhay to build some military bunkers at high altitudes. He was approached as soon as the Russian deal was out in the open. Just a few weeks later, I was hired by Israel to build a powerful solar cell array for its advanced Iron Dome. I can’t say these deals didn’t help. Now, we had the required funds and the basic resources to continue with the original project, building the Underhold.
I had chosen a defunct gold mine as our future city, the old Cortez mines in Nevada. It was perfect as per our requirements: large, uncluttered and very deep with loads of underground tunnel networks. Money used to speak volumes at that time, the government didn’t even ask what were we upto. The first step was to physically divide the mine into different levels, each level to be partitioned into districts according to their respective purpose…
