Chronicles of Tomorrow: Echoes from the Future: Ep. 11 Unearthing the Unearthly
16th May 2355, 6:30 PM,
From the time we entered the Underhold, I had this uncanny feeling of being watched. I couldn’t make out Husky’s expressions through his suit but his rigid posture and straight tail told me even he was tensed. It was irritating, I never liked being watched. I would have investigated but we were on the clock. It was getting dark outside and I had no intention of spending the night anywhere outside my home, my snug cave. Only if I had known that my wish was not going to be fulfilled.
I descended the first few levels and realised that the lowest four levels were flooded. This was absurd since everything above level 3 was totally dry (Fusion reactor is on level 0). It was evident that water had seeped in from below but how? I thought , “We’ll think about that later.” then I got more cautious since I didn’t know what kind of living things I might find in the water. If there can be organisms outside, in that toxic environment, water can’t be ruled out. Nothing can be ruled out anymore. But there was another problem.
