The title has been taken from a song of the same title by the amazing metal band Shinedown, a song I can relate to the most. I will start with the following lines from the song:

The dead don’t die, the heart still beats
Head held high, I haunt these streets
Life’s killed me a hundred thousand times
You can try, you can try, but the dead don’t die||
Knock me down six feet deep
One more round, no reprieve
Life’s killed me a hundred thousand times
You can try, you can try, but the dead don’t die||

Yes, I have reached that point in life where I am not afraid of death and I want to live as long as possible. A few months ago, I was in a car crash, I don’t exactly know what happened but I know it happened due to a mechanical failure.

I was driving on an almost empty road on the centre lane. The truck in front of me stopped suddenly I applied brakes to change the lane, the ABS failed and the car swerved hard to the right. I tried to bring it under control but it started toppling. After two hits on the road divider, I lost control of the car entirely. It hit the divider a third time and bounced back. Next thing I remember was seeing my feet in the air. Waited for a few seconds to see how it turns out, the car landed in a ditch after flipping over twice. I checked for injuries and realised I got very lucky. No, I wasn’t scared, just nervous. However, my habit is to introspect…
