Chronicles of Tomorrow: Echoes from the Future Ep. 12: Secrets of the Deep
17th May 2355,
Husky and I had passed out on each other, the whole battle with the post nuclear version of Lernaean Hydra had sucked out all our energy.
I didn’t know it would be too much to ask for some sleep after being attacked by a giant monster. I dreamt I was being dragged along a long dark tunnel. I opened my left eye to realise that I was not dreaming. I was actually being dragged, by my legs. My whole body except my head was wrapped in what felt like some sort of thread, almost transparent. I could hear Husky whining but it was not coming from anywhere close by. I woke up with a jerk, and tried to free my legs. All movements stopped as soon as I jerked my legs. I closed my eyes as soon as I heard some clicking noise approaching me and feigned sleep. I could feel something crawling over my body, like a long tongue.
I remained as still as I could. I opened my eyes only when I realized that thing was walking away from me. It looked like a monstrous spider from behind, huge, round black eyes running along the periphery of its body. Long, white scraggly hairs here and there in patches, but they were continuously moving, like antennae.
